Reiki Healing Session

A gentle energy practice to support calm, balance and inner steadiness

Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a soothing, non-invasive energy practice that many people experience as deeply calming. It’s often used to support relaxation, emotional balance, and a greater sense of connection to yourself.

During a Reiki session, you remain fully clothed and simply rest while I work either with light touch (with your consent) or with hands held just above the body. Many clients describe Reiki as a warm, settling experience that helps them feel more grounded and at ease.  You don’t need to do anything during the session, just allow yourself to be, while I work gently with your energy to support what your system most needs.

This is a calm, nurturing treatment that will help to soothe the nervous system, release stuck emotions and energy, and bring your whole self, mind, body, and spirit, back into alignment. It’s ideal if you’re needing some deep rest, feeling emotionally sensitive, or simply want to reconnect with yourself on a more peaceful level.

Reiki is not a medical treatment and it doesn’t replace healthcare. It can be a gentle complementary support that helps you feel resourced, especially during emotionally demanding times.

What Reiki can help with

People come to Reiki for many reasons. It may be supportive if you are experiencing:

  • stress, overwhelm, and mental fatigue
  • anxiety and a busy, overthinking mind
  • sleep difficulties (such as struggling to switch off)
  • emotional heaviness, low mood, or feeling “not yourself”
  • feeling disconnected, numb, or stuck
  • a desire for deeper self-care, grounding, and spiritual support
  • periods of change, grief, or uncertainty

Everyone’s experience is different. Some people feel immediate relaxation, while others notice a gradual sense of steadiness over time.

If you’re feeling a little out of sorts, low on energy, emotionally overwhelmed, or just know you need a reset, Reiki can offer you a gentle yet powerful space to restore balance.

Client Testimonial:

"Thank you for the reiki healing. My head is so much quieter, calmer even my painful indigestion much better. Even my body and nerves are calm now. Amazing thank you. Amazing and profound healer!!I've had healing before but never felt so safe, protected and loved too."

What a reiki session feels like

Reiki is often described as:

  • calming and nurturing
  • grounding and stabilising
  • gently energising
  • like “coming back into the body”

You might notice warmth, tingling, heaviness, emotional release, or simply a peaceful state. It’s also completely normal to feel very little physically and still benefit from the deep rest the session offers.

Reiki during a hypnotherapy session

Sometimes, the most powerful shifts happen when your mind and nervous system feel safe enough to soften. Reiki can be a beautiful support alongside hypnotherapy because it encourages relaxation and nervous system settling, which can make it easier to access the calm, focused state where hypnotherapy works best.

How it may be included

If you choose, Reiki can be woven and added into a hypnotherapy session in a few gentle ways:

1) Before hypnosis (to settle and ground)
Reiki can help you arrive, exhale, and feel more comfortable in your body, especially if you’ve been carrying stress or anxiety.

2) During hypnosis (to support safety and regulation)
Some clients find Reiki helps them feel held and supported while we work with subconscious patterns, emotions, or inner parts. It can be especially helpful if you’re someone who finds it hard to “switch off” or trust relaxation.

3) After hypnosis (to integrate and restore)
Reiki can support a calm close to the session, helping you feel steady, clear, and gently resourced as you return to daily life.

Your choice, always

Reiki is always optional. Hypnotherapy works perfectly well without it. If we include Reiki, we’ll agree together what feels comfortable, including whether you prefer hands-on (with consent) or hands-off. You remain in control throughout.

What Reiki and hypnotherapy are not

I offer Reiki and Hypnotherapy as supportive, complementary approaches. They are not a substitute for medical or mental health care, and I won’t make promises or guarantees. If you’re currently under care for a physical or mental health condition, we can talk about how to work safely alongside your existing support.
